BACnet/IP, the building automation standard

Back to all integrations

BACnet (ASHRAE 135 / ISO 16484-5) is the global building automation standard. ScadaHud talks BACnet/IP natively so a single platform serves both your industrial SCADA and your BMS, no gateway, no double licensing.

Background

What is BACnet?

BACnet is an object-oriented protocol with standard objects (Analog Input/Output/Value, Binary Input/Output/Value, Schedule, Trend Log, Calendar, Notification Class) and standard services (ReadProperty, WriteProperty, ReadPropertyMultiple, COV subscriptions, Who-Is/I-Am device discovery). BACnet/IP runs over UDP port 47808; BACnet MS/TP runs over RS-485.

ScadaHud

What ScadaHud's driver supports

  • BACnet/IP client over UDP port 47808
  • Who-Is / I-Am device discovery and ReadProperty / WriteProperty services
  • COV (Change of Value) subscriptions
  • Standard object types: Analog Input/Output/Value, Binary Input/Output/Value, Multi-state
  • Configurable BBMD (BACnet/IP Broadcast Management Device) for cross-subnet discovery
  • Auto-reconnect
