Licensing

A plain-language summary of how ScadaHud is licensed. The full End User License Agreement (EULA) is delivered with the installer and governs your actual use of the product.

1. Licensing model

ScadaHud uses straightforward, hardware-tied licensing. You pay for the platform, not for every tag, screen or client connection. The license unlocks the ScadaHud platform on a specific machine, identified by its hardware fingerprint at activation time.

  • No per-tag fees
  • No per-client fees
  • No per-mimic-screen fees
  • Tag and connection limits are bounded by what your hardware can serve

2. Tiers

Licensing tiers map to deployment scope. See the pricing page for an overview, or talk to an engineer for a quote tailored to your project.

  • Edge single-site, panel-PC and gateway deployments.
  • Plant full plant or multi-line deployments with high-availability and centralized identity.
  • Enterprise multi-site federation with white-glove onboarding and a custom SLA.

3. Trial licenses

Time-limited trial licenses are available on request. Trials grant the same functionality as the equivalent paid tier and expire automatically. Trial licenses are for evaluation only and may not be used in production environments without our prior written consent.

4. Maintenance and updates

Active licenses include updates and bug-fix releases for the licensed major version. Major version upgrades may require a maintenance plan or upgrade fee, communicated in advance.

5. Support

Support level depends on your tier. Edge customers receive email support. Plant and Enterprise customers receive priority email and phone support. Enterprise customers receive a named technical account manager.

6. System integrators and partners

ScadaHud operates a partner program for system integrators. Partners receive partner pricing, technical training, deployment templates and white-label options. Contact hello@scadahud.com for partner program details.

7. License transfer

Because licenses are bound to identifiable hardware, transferring a license between machines requires deactivation on the original machine and reactivation on the new one. We provide tooling to do this and will assist as needed. Transfers between legal entities (mergers, acquisitions, divestitures) require our prior written consent and may require execution of a new license agreement.

8. Acceptable use

You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, sublicense, rent or lease the platform, nor attempt to bypass the licensing mechanism. You agree to comply with applicable export control and sanctions regulations.

9. Open-source components

The ScadaHud platform incorporates open-source components, each governed by its own license. A full list of these components and their licenses is shipped with the installer (THIRD-PARTY-LICENSES.txt) and is also available on request.

10. Trademarks

"ScadaHud", the ScadaHud logomark and related marks are trademarks of Hudop Technology Inc. Other trademarks referenced in our documentation belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.
