IEC 60870-5-104, the European utility SCADA standard
IEC 60870-5-104 is the European counterpart to DNP3, used by transmission operators, distribution utilities and substation automation across Europe, Asia and parts of South America. ScadaHud talks IEC 104 natively, master and slave roles supported.
Czym jest IEC 104?
IEC 60870-5-104 is the network access (TCP) variant of IEC 60870-5-101 (serial). It runs over TCP port 2404 and uses APDU (Application Protocol Data Unit) frames carrying ASDU (Application Service Data Unit) payloads with type identifiers covering single/double points, measured values (normalized, scaled, short floats), step positions, integrated totals, and control commands.
